Welcome to The Vine

Life can seem like a treadmill sometimes. We go through the motions, but with no direction. My life began this way. I was born in Southern California to immigrant parents who came to live the American dream. But that dream soon turned into a nightmare with the sudden death of my mother when I was only 8 years old. I struggled to make sense of it all. For years, I was shattered and longed for hope in an unfulfilling world. Through this, I often wondered why I was here and why these things happened to me.

Before I entered college, Jesus Christ found me, saved me and provided purpose in my life. That was the catalyst for my life and the beginning of a vision that became the seed of The Vine Church.

The Vine is not just a church, however. It’s a community where one can Belong, Believe and Become significant for Christ.

Our society has built up barriers instead. We live in a world of walls and gated communities. The Internet is creating a generation of people isolated and disconnected from one another. Churches have also built barriers. Our dream is to tear them down. To me, church should be a place where people of any ethnicity, generation and background can come and experience life together through Jesus Christ.

Take a break from the treadmill of life and step into our community of faith. Everyone has a story to tell. Tell us where you’ve been and where you want to go. Let’s walk this journey together.

Warmly,

Marcus
